From Cards to Journaling and Albums My Evolution Continues.

Journaling and photo albums have become quite advanced from the old photo albums which we used to and can still buy.  Here is the latest ones I have completed.  I am finding that they are somewhat addictive.

This one is called Gate Keeper and is a design from Laura Denison Designs.  Laura is a multi faceted and very talented designer.  She works with many different materials in her designs.

The paper which was used is Kaiser Kraft " The Art of Life" along with some Recollections papers.  Ivory and Black Card Stock along with various punches for interest.

The Belly flap when removed.
It is held in a closed position y a belly band which opens at its side.
Once the belly band is removed you then fold up a large flap, followed by the lower flap.
Here you can see the tab made with a punched piece of black card stock. .

I have kept the inside fairly simple and gave this album a large number of areas for both journaling and pictures to be placed.

Once all the different photo cards are flipped out you see an opportunity to place a larger photo or several smaller ones.
This has been a fun project and I hope that you have enjoyed my sharing it with you.
Always remember that...
Wee Things are what matter when creating hand crafted items.
This album along with several others have been donated to the Hagersville Hospital Foundation for their Charity Auction, I wish to wish them "Good Luck and much success".

Back After a Short Rest

I am back after a wee bit of time off.  I have arrived with a new sense of creativity and have found something which excites me just as much as the creation of cards.  I have started with the crafting of albums and 3D items.  Some prime examples of these can be found at  .
Laura is a designer with amazing skill and knowledge.  She also teaches via U Stream several times a week. Her link can be found on her site.  I will be posting some of the items which I have made using Laura's patterns in the next few days.  I hope you enjoy them.
